Food fusions - friend or fiend?
We all may have heard of the 'sushirrito' or the 'mac n cheese burger buns' and I question whether such food fusions should be condoned. Certainly they appear as inventive in creativity and as inspiring for new culinary businesses, but they pose as dangerous for our health's sake. Carbs mixed with carbs on top of -wait- you guess it, more carbs, and we wonder why child obesity is of concern. Perhaps food fusions is one of several reasons for the 10% increase of child obesity in U.K. first year schools. That percentage is 1 in 5 children to be 'obese', as reported by the NHS. This statistic also applies to the US.
